Health Information Technology Program
Professionals in the field of health information management are the experts who secure, analyze, integrate and manage information that guides the health care industry. This information is important to patient care, research, health care planning and decision making, liability protection, quality improvement and reimbursement of claims.
The Health Information Technology Program is accredited by the Commission on the Accreditation for Health Informatics and Information Management Education (CAHIIM). CAHIIM is the accrediting body for degree-granting program in health informatics and information management.
Graduates of our program are eligible to take the national examination for registered health information technicians (RHIT) from the American Health Information Management Association.
